Synopsis

This film is about one abandoned miner's town and it's former livers, who missed their Motherland. Long long ago Khalmer - U was a cozy miner's town.  Nowadays the mine is closed, the town is destroyed, the livers are moved out. But in spite of this every summer the people from different places of our country are going to a long trip to Khalmer - U. They are going there to tape this place, they are going there to look back to their childhood, they are going home. The newsreel uncovers all illusions to unbelievable challenges of conquering the Far North that Soviet Government had that time. The travellers' memories finish the story.
